Regulations

Regulations of “Kyoto-Cornell International Collaborative Degree Opportunity” Alumni Association, Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University

Article 1 (Purpose of the Association)The Association shall provide the following opportunities for exchange among the members of the Association (Article 4).
(1) A place for cooperation with current students and their alma maters
(2) A place for cooperation with industry and academia
(3) A place for cooperation with the Cornell University Hotel School Alumni Association
Article 2 (Name)The name of the Association shall be as follows: “Kyoto-Cornell International Collaborative Degree Opportunity” Alumni Association, Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University (Commonly called KC-CDO Alumni Association)
Article 3 (Location) The Association shall be located at Yoshida Honmachi, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto 606-8501, Japan
Article 4 (Members)The Association shall consist of the following members: 
Graduates of the “Kyoto-Cornell International Collaborative Degree Opportunity”, Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University. 
Faculty and staff members , former faculty and staff members of “Kyoto-Cornell International Collaborative Degree Opportunity”, Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University 
Other members approved by all the board members of the Society.
Article 5 (Board Members)The Association shall have the following board members: 1 President, 1 Vice President, 1 Director, and 1 Auditor. The term of office of the board members shall be three years. However, the appointment shall not preclude a person from being reappointed for the position (the maximum term of office for the President is two terms). The President shall represent the Association and preside over the affairs of the Association. The Vice- President shall assist the President and act for the President in case the latter is unable to fulfill his/her duties. The President, Vice- President, Director, and Auditor shall constitute the Board of Directors. The Director may, by mutual election, appoint other board members as Executive Director(s). The Executive Director shall be responsible for managing the affairs of the Association. The Auditors shall audit the accounts of the Association.
Article 6 (Administration)The Board of Directors shall deliberate important matters for the management of the Association and decide on the management plan. The Association may establish chapters as necessary. The President may hold a meeting of the Board of Governors from time to time as deemed necessary. The Association shall hold a General Assembly once a year. The President may hold an extraordinary general meeting when deemed necessary. Matters to be discussed at the General Assembly are as follows. Decisions at the General Assembly shall be made by a majority vote of those present.
1.Election of officers
2.Establishment and amendment of the Regulations 
3.Determination of the budget and approval of the settlement of accounts
4.Contribution of membership fee and its collection method
5.Other matters of particular importance.
Article 7 (Revision of Regulations) Whenever it is necessary to revise the Rules and Regulations for the operation of the Association, it shall be decided by discussion among the members.
Article 8 (Expenses)Expenses of the Association shall be met from membership fees, donations, and other income.
Article 9 (Fiscal Year)The fiscal year of the Association shall begin on April 1 of each year and end on March 31 of the following year.
Supplementary ProvisionsThe bylaw is enforced as of and effective from April 1, 2023.
